"Give thanks in all circumstances: for this is the will for you in Christ Jesus" 1 Thessalonians 5:18
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him" Colossians 3:17
Thanksgiving is a time to spend time with family and friends and getting together and being thankful for all that God has given you. Sometimes as the years go by we forget to look around and take a moment to see how blessed we can be and that we have a great family and friends and a home to stay warm. A lot of people don't have that. We have to remember as well that God is the one that blesses us with these good things
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows" James 1:17
Whenever you don't know what to do maybe your in a time where there's a lot of frustration, or you don't really know what to do for God, give thanks. In these situations there is always something that you can do which is giving thanks to God, for we know that God has done so many good things in our life even without realizing it. When you praise and thank God in the hard times it actually confuses the enemy and also bring glory to God. For when you don't know what to do in life this is what God himself says "Give thanks in all circumstances: for this is the will for you in Christ Jesus" 1 Thessalonians 5:18
I wrote this a while ago and wanted to share it.
God is so beautiful. For His love and mercy never fails. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases and His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness.’ Psalm 146:8 We have a fresh new start with God everyday. Everyday is a gift from God, don’t take it for granted. “I will praise the Lord all the days of my life” He is so good and His love is amazing and unchanging. “He is the same yesterday, today and forever” Hebrews 13:8 Thank you Lord for being such a good Father to us. I am not worthy of any good things you give to me but I will thank you and praise you anyways. Thank you Lord for always looking out for us and providing for all of our needs. He is good!
